The CHCC library is on the lower level, directly below the sanctuary. We are always open during, before, and after services.  Instructions for checking out books are on the large library table.  If you do have trouble locating a book, look in the yellow notebook labeled CARD CATALOG.  If we have the book, it should be listed here.  The card catalog is also available here on our website.

The largest selection of books is the nonfiction group, which covers almost two walls.  Here you will find many authors including Max Lucado, Joni Eareckson-Tada, Dr. James Dobson, Rick Warren, Beth Moore, Philip Yancey, and more.  Labels on the shelves help you look for just the right topic: inspiration, prayer, daily devotions, and help for specific problems.

The next largest genre is fiction. We try to limit those books to what we call Christian fiction. The book must have a Christian theme running through it. We have many wonderful authors that are popular with our members including Jan Karon, Karen Kingsbury, Lori Wick, Wanda Brunstetter, Jane Kirkpatrick, Janette Oke, Liz Higgs, Michael Philips, Brock and Bodie Thoene, Dee Henderson, Joel Rosenberg, and Gilbert Morris.

Our children's section is growing.  You will find some beautifully illustrated books by well-known authors.  Many families use this section on a regular basis to supplement materials the children are exposed to at school.  We also have books for teens, videos, and DVDs.

The resource section is more than adequate at present time due to several families who gave us their personal libraries and many members who gave memorial gifts in memory of friends and family. If you are studying the Bible in Sunday School or a small group and need another opinion, look at what we have available.

We invite you to use your CHCC library. It is a comfortable place to browse or sit and read. You are always welcome to make use of the facilities. If you have difficulty accessing the library while we are building, please let one of the librarians know.  We will be glad to carry books to you.
