The Nursery is available for infants and toddlers to two years of age during both services on Sunday morning. It is also open during evening services on Wednesday. The nursery suite is secure yet very convenient, located between the sanctuary and family life center. Beepers are provided so parents/care givers may be contacted during the service if needed, and matching security tags are issued to the child and parent/care giver.
Electronic Check-in System
Each parent/guardian of a family will be given a barcode keychain. Upon arrival at church, they will escort their child downstairs to the check-in area, which will be located in the JAM hallway. The only access to this check-in system is BY WAY OF THE STAIRS/ELEVATOR BETWEEN THE SANCTUARY AND THE FAMILIY LIFE CENTER. All the downstairs doors will be locked during services so no one can enter the building through the children's area. The stairs from the fellowship hall will be blocked during services.
Parents will scan their barcode and a sticker will print off (1 per child and 1 per parent). The numbers on the stickers will match. Kids will be escorted to their classes by volunteers. Parents will stop at the check-in counter and not enter the children's area once their child(ren) is/are checked in.
Parents will stop at the check-in center to pick up their children. Volunteers at the desk will go retrieve their child. At the end of the 9:00 service, elementary kids will be in the elementary wing (Jam Hall) and preschool kids will be in the preschool wing (Wee Jam Hall). At the end of the 10:30 service, preschool volunteers need to take their kids to the marketplace for retrieval and elementary kids will stay in their classrooms.
Once a child is checked in, the only way they can leave the children's area is if their parent comes to check them out. Kids will not be allowed to leave under any circumstances, other than being checked out by a parent/guardian. This policy is effective for the in-between time and after the contemporary service.
